“I had thought about treating myself to a new bike this year and a new TV. I had recently decided to buy just the TV, but now I can buy both, without a second thought!,” says the excited winner.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, is a regular Lotto player and purchased his winning ticket at local store Richmond Night N’ Day in Nelson.
“To be honest, I don’t normally play Strike, but as the big Triple Dip promotion was on I thought I would give it a go,” says the winner.
“I was due to go a Christmas party that Saturday evening, when I randomly decided to check my tickets. I had to double check, as I was so shocked to see my numbers had come up. Needless to say I never made it to the party!
“Life has been pretty good to me this year, so I think this will make it just a bit sweeter”, says the winner.
