The TSB Hub in Hawera was opened in 2010 by Prime Minister John Key and is a valuable asset for the district. It is in constant use by sports clubs and community groups and neighbouring Hawera High School uses the stadium and playing fields for its physical education curriculum.
South Taranaki District Council built the spacious $20 million Hub, and its modern facilities meet the needs of organisations throughout the region. From rifle-shooting to roller-skating as well as catering for functions such as awards ceremonies and hosting conferences, expos and AGMs.
South Taranaki District Mayor Ross Dunlop says the centre’s success has exceeded expectations.
“The TSB Hub is just one of the growing list of amazing facilities the district has to offer residents and visitors, and we are already seeing the success of the facility in terms of attracting conferences and events.”
